Jay Lawrence Goldman is a modern Renaissance Man: a talented photographer, musician, painter and gourmet chef. He has the intuition and perspective of an artist, and his work reflects the true art and craft of photography. He has drawn from the variety of professional relationships formed during his ten years living in NYC, and now Los Angeles, to grow into a seasoned photographer with a number of specialties in a highly competitive field.

Professional and personable, with an amazing eye for capturing special moments, and a way about him that puts people at ease, it’s no wonder that Jay is a sought-after wedding photographer. In fact, on My Fox LA’s Hot List, he was voted one of the Top 5 Wedding Photographers in Los Angeles! Walt Shepard, co-creator of Inside Weddings Magazine, had this to say, “Jay is an excellent photographer, both technically and personally. He is easy to spend time with and that is important on a wedding day. He also knows how to capture the moment and anticipates them.”

Jay shoots about 30 high-end events a year all over the world. Some of his private event clients are billionaires, presidents of television studios and record companies, as well as celebrities. A few of his celebrity clientele are: Kate Beckinsale, Eva Longoria, John Mayer, Reba McEntire, Billy Crystal, Christian Slater, Seth Macfarlane, Sugar Ray Leonard, Stacy Dash, Meredith Brooks, Cindy Margolis, and Snoop Dogg.
He is a monthly editorial photographer for Inside Weddings, and his work has also been published in the following magazines: InStyle, InStyle Weddings, Grace Ormonde, Martha Stewart Weddings, Brides, Los Angeles, Weddings, W, Robb Report, Town and Country, People, Vanity Fair, Architectural Digest, Angeleno, Aspen Peak, Forbes, LA Confidential, Elegant Bride, Entrepreneur, and Gotham among others. His work has also been published in Lark Books’ “500 Wedding Rings.” In addition to print, Jay has been featured on America’s Next Top Model multiple times; one episode brought the models to the JLGphoto Studio. Jay photographed the model challenge and had to pick the winner! According to Jay, having such a wide variety of clients and photography jobs is challenging, exciting, and incredibly inspiring.

Jay and his wife, award-winning fine jewelry designer Pamela Froman, have created a studio oasis which they share -- a sanctuary within the city. It is filled with natural light, and decorated with fountains, plants, an aviary of exotic finches, doves and canaries, and an area for their 5-year old son Hudson to play.
